The Considine Rainbow is a Your Turn To Die fan and Danganronpa fangame. This fangame is based on my gacha series on YouTube however a lot things has been changed from the original series.Btw this game has no connection to Yttd or Dr characters and story,it’s a new world, new characters and new stories but it does take alot of inspiration from the story and game mechanic of Yttd,Danganronpa,Roblox flicker and even Five nights at Freddy!

Hello! My friend and I played through this game yesterday and had an absolute blast! Our favorite characters are Angles and Wyatt. I was super impressed with the runtime; it took longer because we read out loud (about 6 hours!), but even if we hadn’t, it must have been several hours long, which is incredible for a first game! (Well, first part of your first game, lol.)

Felix was somewhat of a highlight as well. He’s ordinarily the type of character I might find irritating, but I think he is a lot more enjoyable because of his age. Because he’s so young, you can take the character less seriously, and at the same time his youth makes his serious moments even creepier. I really enjoy him! Dessa was great with him, too. She’s so shy, but is actually a fan of death games too, which I find makes her very engaging!

(Spoilers below -- click to open!)

The character I’m most interested to learn more about (aside from our kidnappers of course!) is Vector. He was very quiet for the majority of the game, until he got a good rest and warmed up (which I theorize to be related to Valentine’s death, because she had the ice sword and a snowflake on her door). Afterwards, he became quite hostile. His purple eyes interest me too, given the association between the color purple and the kidnappers!

I also found Tony to be very interesting! In one of the library game-overs, when he’s stabbed by Valentine’s, he bled purple, just like the Sally doll! He also had a very mysterious interaction with her just before her death. My friend and I think that he might have killed her, but we’re looking forward to the investigation in 1B to find out for sure!

Making the movement system and minigames in Ren’py is very impressive as well! Reading 4 books in such a short amount of time was very stressful, lol. My friend and I struggled a bit with the hangman minigame because of the limited amount of guesses. I believe that 4 or 5 lives might be slightly fairer, as we had to start over the minigame several times! I am considering creating a walkthrough as well to help people who may struggle with reading quickly or figuring out the puzzle sections.

The game’s dialogue does contain some grammar issues. If you write the script in a Google doc (or something similar) beforehand, consider enabling spellcheck to help you! Additionally, I felt there were a few lines that could be potentially offensive, particularly the use of the phrase “mentally autistic” as an insult by Devin. I understand that Devin is VERY harsh with her words, but as a person with autism myself, I found this line could easily be replaced with something less specific, like “are you too stupid to understand?” Valentine’s also makes a jab at the LGBT+ community – but I understand that she is not supposed to be a good person.

I’m rambling, so I’ll wrap it up by talking a bit about Oka! Oka was quite entertaining to watch as a protagonist. She’s quite harsh with her judgments and finds it difficult to immediately trust the strangers around her, which I feel is realistic given her situation! Also, I had her choose to admit to Felix that if she were to be the Killer, she would sacrifice the lives of others for herself – I loved this scene! Many death game protagonists often think, “I would never do such a thing!” and I found it really cool to see a protagonist that admits to herself that she WILL put herself first, if she has to. She also said she made a promise to her sister to stay alive, and I’m excited to see more about that in the future!

Overall, I believe the story has great potential! You are good at building up suspense and plot twists – the reveal of what Pat had to do in her first room, and Valentine’s death were standouts, and Sally’s transformation into a monster was also genuinely scary! I hope you will continue working to bring us 1B – my friend and I are very excited!

I’m literally smiling so hard reading this.Thank you so much for the feedback.I never thought someone would take the time to actually give a full detailed review of my game.I really appreciate it.I’m happy to see you and your friend enjoy my story and characters.

I’m also understand and appreciate your feedbacks about the mini game, dialogue and grammar. There was a lot grammar mistakes before the game released but thanks to my cousin/beta tester( who’s more better at English writing than I am) most of the mistakes were resolved.I will try to fix the remaining grammar errors on the next update.I would also consider the google doc advice when writing for the next chapter.

The whole library mini game is meant to be unfair and hard.It reflects Valentines character as a whole.Valentines homophobic remarks was on purpose and it would be further explained/fleshed out in future chapters.I understand that the autistic insult might be offensive to a lot of people. As an autism myself, it didn’t bother me.But I get why many people would be bothered by it.Like you said,Devin is always harsh with her words but maybe I went too far with one or two of her words. Therefore I will tone it down in the next update.

Again thank you so much for the review ❤️ I really enjoy reading your thoughts about the characters and theories about what would happen.I hope to see you again for chapter 1B.
